Step 1
In a large bowl, mix together all the meatball ingredients until combined. Roll into evenly sized balls (You should get about 12–14).
500 g Beef mince
1 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Garlic powder
40 g Breadcrumbs
30 g Parmesan
1 Egg
1 tsp Dried oregano
1 tsp Dried basil
Seasoning
1 tsp Garlic powder
Salt
Pepper
Step 2
Preheat air fryer to 190°C. Place meatballs in a single layer (cook in batches if needed) into a heat proof dish and lightly spray with oil.
Step 3
Air fry for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway, until browned and cooked through (internal temp 75°C). Remove and set aside.
Step 4
Add straight into the heat proof dish the cream, pesto, parmesan, oregano, sun-dried tomatoes and stir.
200 ml Double cream
1 tbsp Red pesto
50 g Parmesan
1 tsp Oregano
100 g Sun-dried tomatoes
Step 5
Cook on 190°C for 5–7 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken.
Step 6
Add back into the heatproof dish your meatballs and stir.
Step 7
Cook for a further 5 minutes until the sauce is thicker and piping hot and enough time to have allowed the meatballs to soak up all that flavour.
Step 8
While the sauce and meatballs are cooking in your air fryer, place into a large bowl your pasta, along with enough boiling water to cover and leave for 3–5 minutes, then drain.
300 g Fresh pasta
Step 9
Serve in your pasta bowls along with your meatballs and sauce and garnish with fresh basil and extra Parmesan, maybe a sprinkle of chilli too.
Fresh basil
1 tsp Dried chilli flakes
