Step 1

In a bowl, combine the beef mince, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well, then shape into small meatballs (around 8–10).

250 g Beef mince

1 tsp Dried oregano

1 tsp Garlic powder

Place the meatballs into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 180°C for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway, until browned and cooked through.

Step 3

While the meatballs cook, add the passata, oregano, chilli flakes, salt, and pepper to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 2–3 minutes, stirring halfway, until hot.

1 pinch Chilli flakes

Step 4

Slice the sub rolls open and fill with the meatballs and sauce. Top generously with mozzarella.

Place the filled subs into the air fryer and cook at 180°C for 3–5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is lightly crispy.

Step 6

Top with fresh basil and serve immediately.
